The director of the institute also said that water resources decreased in the East Zangezur Economic Region: "Compared to 1978, water resources in East Zangezur decreased by 19.3 percent. At the same time, as you know, most of the rivers in this region come from the territory of Armenia, and the level of pollution remains high. When it comes to the climate, the conducted studies show that the air temperature in the Lesser Caucasus is predicted to increase by 0.2 degrees by 2050. It is also expected to decrease by 20-90 mm".
