Out of 126 existing individual houses in Heyvali village of the Aghdara district, 45 have already been fully restored and are ready for use. The restoration of an additional 50 houses is planned within the year. All necessary conditions have been created for the resettlement of 19 families (74 people) who have already returned to their native village, Afat Telmangizi, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, said during a briefing with journalists, APA reports.
It was noted that extensive work has been carried out to restore social infrastructure as part of the village’s reconstruction. “Two existing transformers, as well as electricity and gas lines, have been restored, and new communication lines have been installed. To ensure residents’ access to drinking water, a 60-cubic-meter water tank has been installed and construction of the water supply network has begun. In addition, 4.5 kilometers of intra-village roads have been fully renovated, and a new recreation park has been established for residents,” she said.
Heyvali village is located in the administrative-territorial unit of the same name in the Aghdara district, at the foothills of the Karabakh mountain range. Before the occupation, the main occupations of the local population were grain farming, tobacco growing, and livestock breeding, and social facilities such as a school, club, and post office were in operation. The village was liberated from occupation as a result of the anti-terror operation carried out in 2023.
