Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Emergency Situations plans to establish 8 Regional Centers

APAâ€™s local bureau reports that the Minister said five centers had already been ready.

Kamaladdin Heydarov said the regional centers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations would not only eliminate the consequences of emergency situations, but also fulfill the other functions of the ministry.

The Minister said the regional centers would also include State Agency for Control over Construction Safety, Agency for Safety in Industry and Mine Control, Department for Eliminating Consequences of Emergency Situations and Department for Warning against Emergency Situations. The centers have been established to solve the problems of citizens immediately.

Kamaladdin Heydarov noted that the regional centers would study reconstruction works, licensing of mines, industrial enterprises, quarries, reviewing certificates, assessing the facilities, determining the buildings dangerous for use, possible emergency situations, natural and man-made disasters and express their opinion.

The Minister also said that the ministry would deliver data about emergency situation to the centers through monitors and footages would be available through videoconference.
