An Azerbaijani cadet has been awarded Italy's "Sword of Honor," APA reports.
This was announced during the graduation ceremony dedicated to the latest graduating class of the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute and the Faculty of Medicine operating under the National Defense University (NDU).
Within the framework of the Protocol of Intent on cooperation in the training and education of Naval Forces personnel between the defense ministers of Azerbaijan and Italy, Cadet Alikram Abbasli, who graduated with honors from the Naval Faculty of the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute in the 2025–2026 academic year, was honored with the award.
The cadet was presented with a certificate signed by the Commander of the Italian Navy, Admiral Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto, along with a commemorative gift.
