A mine explosion occurred today in the territory of Jamillar village in the liberated Shusha district, APA reports.
The press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) issued a statement in this regard.
According to the statement, a vehicle driven by Bakhtiyar Mirza Bayramov, a Baku resident born in 1979, hit an anti-tank mine in an uncleared area along the former line of contact.
Bakhtiyar Bayramov sustained injuries of varying severity in the incident.
The Shusha District Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the incident.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General’s Office once again called on citizens to comply with safety rules, pay close attention to mine warning signs, refrain from touching suspicious objects, avoid entering unfamiliar areas, and not interfere with areas where fencing activities are being carried out.
