Chairman of State Committee on Religious Associations comments on happenings in Beneniyar

He said there was no need to create agiotage around the happenings in Beneniyar on the day of Ashura.
â€œIf there is radicalism, extremism in Beneniyar, or any other place in Azerbaijan, the state and the society will express their opinion on it,â€ he said.

Orujov underlined the importance of observing the fatwas issued by the Caucasian Muslims Office.

Reports spread that the local residents and police clashed in Beneniyar village of Julfa region, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on the day of Ashura on December 27, the people underwent use of force, several persons were arrested.
