A march was held in Tehran to mark the anniversary of the takeover of the US embassy, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
Marches were held across Iran, including in the capital, to mark the anniversary of the seizure of the US embassy in Tehran by students on November 4, 1979.
Participants in the marches chanted anti-US slogans.
The event, called the "National Day of the Fight Against Global Imperialism," is held annually in front of the former US embassy in Tehran.
It should be noted that on November 4, 1979, students known as the "Followers of the Imam's Line" seized the US embassy in Tehran in protest against the United States' admission of Iran's former Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Embassy staff were taken hostage by the students.
