Caucasian Muslims Office representative disagrees to reports about religious marriage of under-age girls in southern regions

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. â€œThe reports that mullahs conduct religious marriages for the under-age girls in the southern regions are not true. Let those who speak about it show one fact, then we will agree. No mullah or Akhund conducts religious marriage without official marriage,â€ representative of the Caucasian Muslims Office for the southern regions Akhund Sadi Akhundzadeh told APA. He said the reports of the human rights activists, parliamentarians that girls get married under-age in the southern regions are not true.
â€œExceptional cases may be recorded everywhere, not only in the southern regions. It is not right to generalize it,â€ he said.
