The presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine discussed energy partnership, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made this known in a post on his “X” account about his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
Zelensky thanked the Azerbaijani President for energy support at the meeting.
“I met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. I informed him about the general situation in the energy system and the consequences of Russia's attacks on our energy infrastructure. I am grateful for the latest energy support package. We exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations and the implementation of energy projects of interest to Azerbaijan. We also paid attention to the negotiation process aimed at achieving peace,” Zelensky noted.
He stressed that Ukraine supports efforts aimed at achieving peace.
“Ukraine always constructively supports efforts aimed at achieving a dignified peace. The only reason why the war continues is that Russia does not want to stop it,” Zelensky added.
