The "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Georgia on the Supply of Electricity to Georgia and the Transit of Electricity through the Territory of Georgia" has been approved, APA reports.
President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree in this regard.
According to the decree, after the agreement enters into force, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall ensure the implementation of its provisions, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall send a notification to the Government of Georgia confirming that the domestic procedures necessary for the agreement's entry into force have been completed.
It should be noted that the agreement was signed in Baku on May 18, 2026.
