There are two possible options for resolving the issue of enclaves and exclaves with Azerbaijan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a briefing, Sputnik Armenia reports.
"The first option is that the enclaves and exclaves remain, de jure, the territory of the state to which they belong. The second option is for the sides to exchange equivalent territories during the delimitation process," the Armenian prime minister said.
Pashinyan noted that Armenia is not abandoning the issue.
"I cannot say that we are abandoning or can abandon the issue of enclaves and exclaves. No, we must resolve this issue. How it will be resolved is a matter for discussion," he stressed.
The prime minister added that the issue has been moved to another format to allow for calmer discussions.
It should be recalled that earlier today, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that resolving the issue of enclaves within the delimitation process is important.
