President Ilham Aliyev has approved amendments to the Law "On the Cultural Capital of Azerbaijan – the City of Shusha," APA reports.
According to the law, the damage or destruction of monuments located within the territory of the city of Shusha, their relocation without the approval of the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority, as well as construction and installation, restoration, reconstruction, conservation works or landscaping activities that violate their integrity or pose a threat to them, are prohibited.
Under the decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on the implementation of the law, amendments to the Charter of the Shusha State Reserve Administration grant the Reserve the authority to approve the relocation of state-protected cultural assets, including monuments, located within the relevant territory, as well as construction and installation, restoration, reconstruction, conservation works, or landscaping activities.
