Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. “The legislation on information in Azerbaijan has been fully formed, but insufficiencies still exist in its application”, said head of the OSCE Office in Baku Koray Targay at the seminar “Effective Interaction between Government Spokespersons and Journalists to Promote Public Access to Information”. He noted that though Azerbaijan had done a lot in this sphere, some problems still existed: “Sometimes the government agencies work unilaterally. The relations between state structures and people must be enhanced. The cooperation is necessary to improve quality in this sphere. The media role must be used here.”
Targay said that OSCE will further continue cooperation with the government of Azerbaijan and Press Council for achieving transparency and development in this sphere.
