A panel session titled "The Role of Media Diplomacy and Media Literacy in Restoring Trust" was held within the framework of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, APA's correspondent dispatched to Shusha reports.
Speaking at the panel, Zaid Al Nawaiseh, Secretary General of the Ministry of Government Communication of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, described the Shusha Global Media Forum as an important platform for international cooperation and the exchange of experience.
He noted that while limited access to information had once been the main challenge, information is now widely accessible.
"Previously, the main question was whether information was accessible. Today, the key issue is whether the information is reliable. Trust depends on credibility, transparency, and the audience's ability to properly evaluate information. Artificial intelligence is developing rapidly and constantly creating new opportunities. Therefore, we must be more cautious in this field," he said.
Speaking at the panel, Zhang Ling, Deputy Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), said the role of the international media is of great importance in the global information environment.
He stressed that timely and accurate public information, as well as prompt and precise responses to events, are key factors in building trust.
The panel session continues with discussions.
