Two men injured in an explosion in the village of Chardakhli, Aghdara district, were hospitalized at the Emergency Department of the Tartar District Central Hospital at around 10:40 a.m. on August 3, TABIB told APA.

According to the information, the person born in 1994 was diagnosed with an amputation of the right lower leg at the ankle, while the person born in 1998 was diagnosed with multiple shrapnel wounds to the anterior abdominal wall.

The injured person born in 1998 was transferred to the Barda District Central Hospital. The other patient's treatment is continuing in the Emergency Department, and his condition is assessed as moderately severe.

A mine incident occurred on August 3 in the village of Chardakhli in Azerbaijan's liberated Aghdara district, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told APA.

According to the information, Alzamin Vazir oglu Surkhayli (born in 1994), an employee of a non-governmental organization engaged in humanitarian demining operations, triggered an anti-personnel mine explosion while performing his official duties. As a result of the incident, Surkhayli sustained injuries to his right leg.

Another employee, Fuzuli Rizvan oglu Mirzayev, born in 1998, sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The injured employees were evacuated to the district central hospital. Their condition is satisfactory.
