Spokesman for Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan visits APA Holding - <span style="color: red;">PHOTOSESSION

The relations between the two countries, media relations and issues of cooperation between the embassy and media were discussed at the meeting.

The guest said that he has been newly appointed to this post and Ambassador Mohsen Pak Ayeen has also just taken the office: “Iranian embassy, especially the ambassador gives much importance to the relations with media. Our main aim is to work closely with Azerbaijani media and deepen the relations. APA has a special place in the Azerbaijani media. It is not accidental that the ambassador advised me to start familiarization visit from APA, one of the leaders of Azerbaijani media. I hope that the relations between the embassy and agency will be developed and the relations will be further expanded.”

Vusala Mahirgizi gave information about APA Holding LLC, said APA agency has been closely cooperating with the embassy of Iran since its establishment. Head of the Holding said she wants to enhance the cooperation between the embassy and agency, wishes Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan to be active in the relations with the country’s media.

“Our agency sees no problem in covering Iran’s position on any issue, critical material. Though APA has submitted to the embassy the materials on opening a bureau in Tehran and the correspondent, who will work there, Iran has not replied to it yet. We would like this problem to be solved soon. We wish this meeting to be a turning point in the relations between the embassy and APA,” she said.

Nurshan Guliyev also said APA attaches great importance to the relations with the embassy, is interested in cooperating with them.

“We consider that the embassy’s close cooperation with the media is also of great importance for expressing the position of Iran. We hope with the new ambassador and spokesman for the embassy in office, close cooperation between the embassy and APA will be restored and improved,” he said.

Sayed Mohammad Ayatullahi said he will inform ambassador about the remarks and proposals, underlined that necessary steps will be taken to normalize the relations, strengthen the cooperation between the embassy and media.
