Baku. Etibar Mammadov – APA. Committee for protection of editor-in-chief of “Khural” newspaper Avaz Zeynalli’s rights has held a press conference on his arrest, APA reports.
Member of the committee Afgan Mukhtarli said that the investigation and court’s judgment reconfirmed the recent reports that his arrest was politically motivated. Mukhtarli noted that it is not right to pass such a judgment without participation of appellant Gular Ahmedova against Zeynalli.
The other speakers didn’t agree with the judgment passed on Zeynalli, either.
They said at the press conference that an appeal will be filed against the judgment and they will closely cooperate with the international organizations.
