He said the Azerbaijani government praises and supports dialogues with civil society institutions, mass media, local and international organizations, including other wings of the government regarding the principled issues in the sphere of human rights.
“Every dialogue, exchange of views offer opportunities to find appropriate ways, give extra support to the relevant organizations to coordinate different views. In this respect, discussions on people’s relations with press, media’s relations with the society are important issues in Azerbaijani society,” he said.
Ali Hasanov noted that important sections on human rights and freedoms in Azerbaijan are reflected in Azerbaijan’s Constitution adopted in 1995.
“Most laws and initiatives adopted after this Constitution aimed to improve provision of human rights in the society, study world’s advanced experiences and use them in the society. We want a society, where the balance of human rights is protected and rights are ensured fully and every citizen feels confidence in the Azerbaijani society. Of course, legislative initiatives should focus on it,” he said.
