A group of Azerbaijani journalists who participated in the Patriotic War visited the Istanbul branch of the Turkish Veterans and Martyrs' Families Foundation, APA reports.
Bahruz Mammadzadeh, a member of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan Press Council and Chairman of the Public Union of Veterans of Special Forces, Martyrs' Families and Veterans, provided information about journalists who participated in the Patriotic War.
He said that during the Patriotic War, along with their professional activities, Azerbaijani journalists also fulfilled their duty to serve the homeland and fought like soldiers.
Bahruz Mammadzadeh emphasized the unbreakable ties between the two brotherly countries and noted that such meetings carry a great moral burden.
Veteran Ferhat Koçak, a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Veterans and Martyrs' Families Foundation, Chairman of the Istanbul Branch, also highly appreciated the relations and connections between our countries, and at the same time expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with veteran journalists: "Azerbaijan has always been and will be with us. We consider Azerbaijan our second homeland. As Turkiye, we are always with our brothers. We are very happy to meet with veteran journalists who fought for the homeland. We wish such meetings to be frequent."
Note that the visit of veteran journalists to Turkiye was organized on the initiative of MediaTürk TV, coordinated by "TIKA Azerbaijan", and organized by the Turkish Media Business Union and the Public Union of Veterans of Special Forces, Martyrs' Families and Veterans on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani National Press.
