Society must be able to distinguish between fake news and reliable journalism, Ziphora Maubane, Head of Communication and Advocacy of the Office of the CEO of African Union Development Agency, said today during her speech at the III Shusha Global Media Forum dedicated to the theme "Digital Pathways: Strengthening Information and Media Resilience in the Age of AI," APA's correspondent assigned to Shusha reports.
The speaker emphasized that media literacy is the responsibility of every member of society, not just journalists: "Media literacy is a very important skill. This skill should be applied differently for leaders, ordinary citizens, people living in rural areas, and state institutions."
