Correspondents of Yukselish namine newspaper called to prosecutorâ€™s office

Editor-in-chief of Yukselish namine newspaper published in Sumgayit Elchin Mammad and correspondent Elchin Hasanov were called to Sumgayit prosecutorâ€™s office, Elchin Mammad told the APA.
The editor-in-chief said that they were called to the prosecutorâ€™s office as they complained to National Security Ministry of Sumgayit State University.
Assistant prosecutor Samaya Seyfullayeva interrogated them about the event happened on June 22 in Sumgayit State University.
The journalists said that a group of students of Sumgayit State University sent a letter of complaint to the newspaper about bribery, corruption cases at the university and Elchin Hasanov went to the university. The journalist and the university officials had a conflict, as a result of which the editor-in-chief and the correspondent were taken to Sumgayit police office.
Elchin Mammad appealed to National Security Ministry to investigate the universityâ€™s activity. The ministry sent a questionnaire to the prosecutorâ€™s office to investigate facts on pressure on journalists. /APA/
