Imprisoned Editor-in-chief of Mukhalifet (opposition) newspaper Rovshen Kebirli and correspondent Yashar Agazade stopped hunger strike, their rights defender Vagif Hajibayli told the APA.
The journalists believe that the court will pass a positive decision on the appeal filed against Yasamal district court on June 29.
“We hope that the court will pass a decision on releasing the journalists,” he said.
Hajibayli said that they appealed to academician, parliamentarian Jalal Aliyev.
Mukhalifet editorial staff told the APA that they will apologize to Jalal Aliyev in tomorrow’s edition of the newspaper for the article “AMAY – trademark of the Aliyevs”. /APA/
