Nushiravan Maharramli: There is no need to set up a channel under AzTV to be broadcasted in Russia

There is no use to apply Russian model in Azerbaijan,â€ chief of Azerbaijani National Television and Radio Council Nushiravan Maharramli told he APA, while commenting on the initial agreement on broadcasting of RTR-Planeta in Azerbaijan and setting up a channel under AzTV between RTR chairman Oleg Dobrodeyev and chairman of Azerbaijan Television and Radio Programs Arif Alishanov.
The council chief said that broadcasting AzTV in Russia is expedient. He considers that there is no need to spend money on setting up a channel to be broadcasted in Russia.
â€œThere is no need to conform AzTV to RTR-Planeta. Azerbaijan is not Russia. Russia is a very large country. Therefore I think that AzTV should be broadcasted in Russian regions densely populated by Azerbaijanis,â€ he said. /APA/
