Journalistsâ€™ rally postponed

He said that Baku Mayorâ€™s Officeâ€™s did not allow holding of the rally on Neftchiler metro station- Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev route but on Hazi Aslanov metro station-Ukraine square. Chobanoglu stated that the editors agreed with this decision of the Mayorâ€™s Office at first.
â€œBut we reviewed Ukraine square, it is not suitable for an action. The square has been dug entirely. Only 200 people can gather there, therefore we do not want to hold protest action in such place,â€ they said.
Chobanoglu stated that the journalists are about to appeal to court regarding the reply of Baku Mayorâ€™s Office.
â€œThe place where we want to hold protest action is also one of the places allotted for mass rallies. But we will clear up this matter in court as the Mayorsâ€™ Office did not substantiate its decision.â€ he said.
Chobanoglu also stated that they will continue to hold rallies and pickets. He said that other protest action is also fixed to June 23. The protest action is intended to start from Neftchiler metro station and continue till Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev. /APA/
