Suspended newspaper correspondents seek asylum

16 correspondents of suspended Gundalik Azerbaijan newspaper seek for asylum in foreign countries, editor of the newspaper Uzeyir Jafarov told the APA. Two more correspondents of the newspaper Ilhamiyye Rzayeva and Hamid Herischi joined the correspondents seeking for asylum abroad.
The editor said that along with him correspondents Gabil Zimistnaoglu, Azer Huseynbala, Khalid Kazimli, Famil Jafarli, Zamin Haji, Selim Azizoglu, Natig Javadli, Jeyhun Nagi, Nemet Huseynli, Elshen Balakhanili, Samir Kazimli, Aynur Elgunesh and Kamran Kamiloglu appealed to the OSCE Office in Baku, UN Azerbaijani representation, the US, British, German and French embassies and they gave certain reactions.
The correspondents had a meeting in the US embassy. The journalists officially presented their appeals to the embassy.
The correspondents of Gundalik Azerbaijan newspaper also had a meeting in the OSCE Office in Baku and Norwegian embassy. The journalists will also visit French, British and German embassies soon. /APA/
