Dunja Mijatovic: â€œNo country is insured against problems, we should investigate these problemsâ€

Baku. Anakhanim Hidayatova-APA. â€œThe events on this theme are held in a number of OSCE member states. Police and journalists should cooperate perfectly during any event,â€ OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic said at the seminar on â€œSafety of journalists during public demonstrationsâ€, APA reports.

She said such seminars are held at the request of Azerbaijan.

â€œIt is important to hold such events continuously. OSCE Office of the Representative on Freedom of the Media is expecting recommendations. This is also a practical stage, because journalistsâ€™ problems can be different. No country is insured against problems, we should investigate the problems. In order to get access to the information sources, we should do our best so that journalists do not face problems while performing their professional duties. We should create such a condition that journalists can get information freely. The journalistsâ€™ duty is to introduce themselves as media representatives, not to become participants of the event,â€ she said.
