Leadership of General Prosecutorâ€™s Office of Azerbaijan addresses all region and city procurators

The appeal recommends increasing productivity of measures taken by prosecutorâ€™s bodies in securing freedom of information and improving the relations with society, as well as mass media ad non-governmental organizations. Itâ€™s necessary to comply with demands of appropriate order on General Prosecutorâ€™s Office while giving interview to mass media, as well as to public televisions for the purpose of informing the public about investigation of criminal cases. It is expedient to agree with officials of the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office responsible for public relations, media and NGOs before giving interviews to TV channels due to questioned issues. It is demanded to fulfill requirements of legislation to prevent spread of information comprising investigation secret and interrogation carried out on criminal cases, as well as to maintain secrets protected by presumption of innocence, family, state, commerce and law.

Remind that, updated website of the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office has been presented recently. Special department reflecting phone numbers of persons responsible for relations with leadership of General Prosecutorâ€™s Office, as well as with media has been established on new version of the website. And it serves increasing productivity and development of relations between prosecutorâ€™s bodies and media, and public.
