According to APA, head of the presidential administration Ramiz Mehtiyev congratulated the media representatives and wished them good lucks.

He also noted that, the measures about the 135 year anniversary of Azerbaijan national press are held in the regions and cities of the country by the President Ilha Aliyevâ€™s order. â€œAzerbaijan national press was created in 1875. The number of newspapers and magazines increased, the geography of press was extended during the Soviet period, during the period of independence the press was developed more. Azerbaijan Press Council was established in 2003. Near 300 media representatives have been awarded since 2005. There are more 4200 press organizations, 50 information agencies, 200 newspapers.â€

He also noted that several measures will be taken over within the framework of Conception of State Support for Development of Mass Media and AZN 5 mln was allocated for this.

Then the Presidential Administration Socio-political Department Head Ali Hasanov read the orders signed by president. According to residentâ€™s orders, AZN 5 mln was allocated to Fund of State Support for Development of Mass Media for construction of journalistsâ€™ houses, AZN 10 000 to each 8 Information Agencies, AZN 20 000 to each 32 newspaper editorial office from the Presidentâ€™s Reserve Fund which was in the state budget 2010.

Then the winners of contest held by the Fund of State Support for Development of Mass Media were awarded the prizes.
