Azerbaijani President issues an order on measures to strengthen social protection of workers of the press

Baku-APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today issued an order on measures to strengthen social protection of Azerbaijani press workers, APA reports quoting AzerTAJ.

â€œEndowed with rich historical traditions of the Azerbaijani national press has made a significant contribution to the realization of the aspirations of our people for freedom, preservation of spiritual values, structure and development of independent Azerbaijan state. In the years of independence, our press was constantly surrounded by the attention and concern of the state, implemented progressive measures to promote freedom of expression and information, strengthen material-technical base of the pressâ€,the order reports.

In order to ensure sustained support for development of the national press as well as enhancing social protection of press workers, to improve the living conditions of the employees of the Azerbaijani press and the construction of houses for them from the State budget for 2010 contingency fund Presidential Foundation to provide State Support for Media Development under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of the amount of 5 million manat.

Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan to implement the established procedure of financing provided for in paragraph 1 of this Order.
