US Temporary Plenipotentiary in Azerbaijan meets with heads of Mass Media- <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Baku - APA. Today, US Temporary Plenipotentiary in Azerbaijan Adam Stirling met with head of Mass Media, APA reports. The situation of freedom of speech and press in Azerbaijan, final state of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the results of U.S Secretary of State Hillary Clintonâ€™s last visit to the region were discussed at the meeting.

Stirling said that his country tried to contribute to human rights, democracy in Azerbaijan, as well as solution to Nagorno Karabakh problem. He noted that these issues were discussed during Clintonâ€™s last visit as well. Speaking about agreements in several issues, Stirling said that there were different approaches of US and Azerbaijan in the issue connected with opening Turkey-Armenia borders.

Moreover, new press secretary of US embassy Keith Bean has been presented to Media heads.

Note that, APAâ€™s Director General Vusala Mahirgizi, Editor-in-Chief of Ayna Zerkalo newspaper Elchin Shikhli, Director General of Exo newspaper Rauf Talishinski, Deputy Director General of Yeni Musavat newspaper Azer Aykhan, Deputy Director General of Trend Information Agency Elchin Huseynov and Deputy Director General of Turan Information Agency Shahin Hajiyev attended the meeting.

U.S. Embassy spokesman Terry Davidson and official of the department Mehdi Huseynguliyev participated in the meeting as well.
