Reasons known why Armenia does not participate in 64th session of the European Broadcasting Union General Assembly

He said they had sent invitation to Armenia and till the last moment expected them to participate.
â€œThe Azerbaijani side took all measures for their participation. But at the last moment we were told that they would not participate in the session. As far as we know, Armenian representatives could come to Azerbaijan because of technical problems,â€ he said.

Ismayil Omarov said holding the session in Azerbaijan was an important event. According to him, this event offer opportunities to inform the world about Azerbaijanâ€™s truths. Omarov said if some of the EBU members had rejected, the event would not have been held in Azerbaijan.
â€œBut no one rejected to holding the session in Baku,â€ he said.

Ismayil Omarov noted that they expressed their protest to the representative of Euronews channel concerning the report on Nagorno Karabakh. The representative of Euronews said the mistake in the report was technical and it would not repeat in future.
