64th EBU General Assembly will take place in Baku

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova â€“ APA. The 64th General Assembly of the EBU will be held in Baku from July 1 till July 3, 2010 at the kind invitation of its member in Baku, APA reports.
A meeting of the Executive Board will be held on Wednesday 30 June as well as other preparatory meetings. At the 61st session of the General Assembly in November 2008, the EBU and its Members agreed to accept the kind invitation of Ictimai to host the 64th session of the General Assembly in Azerbaijan. At that session and in a subsequent letter, the former President of the EBU, Fritz Pleitgen, thanked Ictimai for its gracious offer and expressed his view that it would â€œbe one of the most memorable general assemblies in the history of the EBU.â€
There will be two high-level special sessions organized with prominent media professionals as speakers and participants. Members will be updated regularly on speakers and other invitees who have confirmed their participation.
