APA hosts CEO of STRATFOR Global Intelligence Company
According to Friedman, Russia, Iran, Turkey, South Caucasus and Asian countries are the main priorities for Stratfor and the company uses APA’s services to receive detailed information about the countries mentioned above and the entire region. He said Azerbaijan was not enough known in the US and one should work hard to eliminate this problem. The guest stated that he would prepare an analytical article on his meetings and observations in Azerbaijan when he is back to the United States.
APA Director General Vusala Mahirgizi noted that the cooperation with famous STRATFOR Global Intelligence Company assumed great significance and expressed her satisfaction with this cooperation: “We are very satisfied with this collaboration. But we should make every endeavor for further expansion of these relations. For instance, we may prepare interviews from outstanding political scientists as well as analytical materials that Startfor is interested in. Moreover, arrangement of joint events and exchange of experience of reporters are possible as well. I look forward for further extending our cooperationâ€.
The sides also exchanged views on US-Azerbaijan relations, current state in the region and other issues of mutual concern.
Vice President of Stratfor Meredith Friedman and first Deputy Director General of APA Nurshan Guliyev also attended the meeting.
