Nushiravan Maharramli: â€œHeld monitoring during February-April shows that the number of show programs has increased againâ€

â€œIt should be so. We have given more attention to existing state in TV-Radio space of Azerbaijan within last year and have involved sense people of society to these discussions. We have to broadcast progressive representatives of our society. But, at most times, TV channels broadcast others by basing on financial factorsâ€, said chief of the Public Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov while delivering speech at the conference. He expressed confidence that sounded opinions at the conference would be felt in the activity of TV channels.

Chairman of National Television and Radio Council Nushiravan Maharramli said that there are 8 republic broadcastings, 14 regional channels, 1 satellite broadcasting, 13 radio, 13 cable operators and 1 qualified channel in our country: â€œIf there any necessity, then the number of republic broadcastings will be increased in the future. 3 republic broadcastings began functioning after establishment of National Television and Radio Council. Now existing state in TV-Radio space make anxious the society very much. This issue is a moot point since October of last yearâ€. To him, law on â€œTV-Radio activityâ€ has been passed in Azerbaijan in 2002: â€œSometimes we subject to critics by our opponents. National Television and Radio Council doesnâ€™t want to solve problems in TV-Radio space by administrative ways. The number of show programs has decreased after several discussions. But, held monitoring during February-April shows that the number of show programs has increased again. The performance and clothing of announcers is devastatedâ€.
