Event takes place on 90th anniversary of AzerTAC - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. An event has been held on the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency â€“ AzerTAC, APA reports. Government representatives, parliamentarians, Azerbaijani and foreign media representatives attended the event in the Theater of Young Spectators. Chief of socio-political department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov conveyed congratulations of President Ilham Aliyev to AzerTAC. Ali Hasanov said AzerTAC is the memory of Azerbaijan Peopleâ€™s Republic. Ali Hasanov said Heydar Aliyev wanted AzerTAC to become one of the biggest agencies of the world and added that the wish was realized.
â€œAzerTAC is the biggest witness of Azerbaijanâ€™s history. We see the correspondents of AzerTAC abroad not only as journalists, but also as diplomats,â€ he said.

Ali Hasanov said AzerTAC created the documentary chronicle of Azerbaijanâ€™s history.

Director General of the agency Aslan Aslanov spoke about the establishment of AzerTAC, its activity during the Soviet times, development. He said the agency was renamed several times during the soviet times, but its essence did not change. According to him, AzerTAC is cooperating with the leading agencies of the world, is the member of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), National Information Agencies Association of CIS members (ANIA), Turkic-Speaking Countries News Agencies (TKA).
Aslanov said heads of official state agencies of n13 countries attended the 90th anniversary of AzerTAC.

Heads of Russia-based ITAR-TASS, Turkey-based Anadolu Agency and others addressed the event.
