16th International Festival and Fair of Press and News Agencies begins in Tehran - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Tehran. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. The 16th International Festival and Fair of Press and News Agencies were opened in Tehran, Iran on Tuesday, APA correspondent reports from the festival. Iranâ€™s Deputy Minister of Culture Alireza Malikian said 52 press agencies from 34 countries were attending the exhibition. â€œ600 pavilions were organized at the exhibition. As distinguished from the early festivals, 1800 publications of 21 universities of Iran are also represented at the festival this yearâ€.

Malikian said the event aimed to assist the development of relations between the press agencies of the world countries.

Iranâ€™s Minister of Culture Mohammad Hosseini talked about the role and place of mass media in the society. He recommended the journalists to write about the real problems and not to inflate the small issues.

The ceremony was continued with the art program. The festival will be finalized on October 27.

The International Festival and Fair of Press and News Agencies have been held in Tehran since 1993. Azerbaijanâ€™s APA has participated at the festival since 2007.
