A media tour has been organized to the city of Khankandi, APA's Garabagh bureau reports.
The journalists visited the area of the Victory Park in Khankandi city, where President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation.
Afet Telmanqizi, the head of the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in Khankandi, Aghdara, and Khojali districts, informed media representatives that demolition works are planned on a 12.9-hectare area for the establishment of the Victory Park in Khankandi.
The area is conditionally divided into two parts, with the first part covering 8.3 hectares demolition works have already been completed.
The second part covers an area of 4.6 hectares, where demolition works will also be carried out: "To protect the existing trees in the area, inspections have been carried out in cooperation with the relevant organizations, and 262 trees of various species have been identified. Furthermore, it is planned to plant more than 300 trees of 21 species in the park area. Currently, planning works are being carried out in the area."
Note that the Victory Parks created in Azerbaijan are symbols of the heroism demonstrated during the Patriotic War, historical victory, the full restoration of our territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The Victory Park to be created in various regions of our country, including the city of Khankandi, is of great importance for preserving the memory of the historical victory, immortalizing the examples of heroism created, and educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism.
