70% of Azerbaijan's water resources are formed at the expense of water coming from other countries, Jabbar Jabbarli, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the United Water Supply Service of Large Cities under Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, at the event titled "Water is Clarity", APA-Economics reports.
He noted that Azerbaijan is on the list of countries included in the water risk group: "For this, regular measures are being taken by the President of the country. One of these measures is the decree issued in 2024 on the water strategy. As the Agency, we are carrying out three-stage work in a planned manner in this direction. First of all, improving activities, preparing proposals for eliminating problems, and ultimately providing the country's population with clean, high-quality water are among our main tasks."
