Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan has determined the share of providers in the Internet service market of the country. The situation hasn’t changed since the beginning of the current year.
APA-Economics reports citing Delta Telecom national communication operator that, share of Bakinternet made 23.4% by a slight decline in the broadband Internet services market.
During the reporting period, traditional competition has continued between the leaders of the ranking: Aztelekom, Uninet and Azeronline.
Share of Aztelekom has slightly increased during the last months and stood at 15.7%. Share of Uninet remained at 12.4%. Azeronline’s share made 10.1%, Connect – 6.3%, Dataplus – 6.4%.
Following them, there come AzQtel with 4.5% share; Adanet – 3.07%; Ultel – 2.4%; Azstarnet – 2.4%; Smart Systems Technologies – 1.8%; Avirtel – 1.7%; AzEuroTel – 1.3%. Castel has increased its share up to 1.3%. Share of Azstatenet remained stable at 1.2%. Other providers has small share in the market.
Note that, at present time, there are more than 30 Internet providers in the country.
