United States is ready to resume efforts to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke about it during hearings held in the Foreign Relations Committee of the US Congress, APA reports.
He also emphasized that the United States is not a neutral mediator in the Ukrainian issue.
"Let's be clear on this issue, we are not a neutral mediator in this war," the Secretary of State noted.
According to Rubio, Washington continues to support Ukraine by supplying it with weapons and military equipment.
He said that the United States believes that there is no military solution to the conflict in Ukraine and that the problem can only be resolved through diplomatic means.
