A Permanent Settlement Fund will be established in the liberated territories, APA reports.
This is reflected in the proposed amendments to the Housing Code discussed today at a meeting of the Labor and Social Policy and Human Rights Committees of the Milli Majlis.
According to the draft, residential premises of the Permanent Settlement Fund in the Liberated Territories will be included among the types of residential premises within the special-purpose housing stock. These residential premises of the Permanent Settlement Fund in the Liberated Territories are intended for the relocation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to permanent residences in the liberated territories and for the transfer of ownership of those residences to them.
The procedure for relocating IDPs to the residential premises of the Permanent Settlement Fund in the Liberated Territories and transferring ownership of those premises to them will be determined by the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority.
It was noted that the amendment to the Housing Code will create a new institution — the “Permanent Settlement Fund in the Liberated Territories,” and the residential premises included in this fund will be used for the relocation of IDPs and the transfer of ownership of these properties to them.
