As a result of anti-smuggling operations carried out by the State Border Service during May, smuggled goods worth a total of AZN 5,609,617, including U.S. currency, alcoholic beverages, medicines, and tobacco products, were detected and confiscated, APA reports.

According to the Press Center of the State Border Service, as a result of measures against the illegal trafficking of narcotic substances, 319 kilograms and 182 grams of narcotics, as well as 7,338 pills of various compositions, were detected and removed from circulation.
