Prime Minister Ali Asadov met today with participants of the meeting of the Council of Central Banks of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held in Baku, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
During the meeting, the importance of the Council's meeting was emphasized, and confidence was expressed that the event would contribute to strengthening cooperation between the financial sectors of the OTS member countries and increasing the role of central banks in this process.
It was noted with satisfaction that cooperation based on mutual trust and common interests among the OTS member states is developing successfully in various areas. It was emphasized that special attention is being paid to further expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, transport, energy, finance, humanitarian affairs and other areas within the framework of Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the OTS this year.
The discussion also focused on the consistent reforms being implemented to modernize Azerbaijan’s financial and banking sector, as well as the achievements made in improving the quality of financial services, increasing transparency and strengthening the stability of the banking system.
The meeting also discussed prospects for the development of cooperation in the financial and banking sector within the framework of the OTS.
