US Secretary of State Marco Rubio assured that Washington is not trying to provoke a war or crisis on the Korean Peninsula, APA reports.
"We're not trying to provoke a crisis there. We're not trying to provoke a war or anything problematic," he said at a hearing of the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, commenting on the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
According to the head of American diplomacy, the United States is not changing its military plans for North Korea or the balance of forces and assets in the Republic of Korea. "No, our doctrine there remains the same," Rubio stated. "We have a very strong military-to-military relationship with Korea," he added.
