“The Anaklia deep-sea port, the East-West expressway, the Black Sea submarine cable project, the Tbilisi international airport project and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line strengthen Georgia’s position as a regional connectivity hub and its stable development,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during his speech at a panel held within the framework of the V Tbilisi Silk Way Forum, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to him, these initiatives allow Georgia to fully realize its transit potential, which makes a significant contribution to the development of the new Silk Road– the Middle Corridor.
Kobakhidze stressed that the Middle Corridor is recognized as one of the most efficient transport routes between the East and the West.
The Prime Minister said that Georgia is actively deepening regional and global integration to expand trade, attract investments and strengthen capital flows, with the aim of becoming a multifunctional and multi-faceted hub.
