The construction of the Ahmadbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway is nearing completion, APA-Economics reports.
According to the report, the length of the existing road is 101 kilometers, and the length of the new road is 81.7 kilometers. The new road is 19.3 kilometers shorter.
The first 48 km of the road, which has a technical level I, was built with 6 lanes, and the remaining 33.7 km with 4 lanes. The width of the roadbed is 29.5 m and 21.5 m, respectively.
Currently, the final completion works are being carried out throughout the project, including laying the wear layer of the asphalt-concrete coating. In addition, the installation of reinforced concrete barriers, curved metal barriers, lighting devices and road equipment along the road, the laying of horizontal road marking lines, and the construction of recreation and parking areas are ongoing.
The necessary number of personnel and equipment has been mobilized to the area to complete the work in a timely manner.
The Ahmadbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway, starting from the M6 Hajigabul-Horadiz-Aghband-Zangazur corridor highway, connects the liberated Fuzuli, Khojavand, Khojaly and Shusha districts.
