Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) has warned passengers about cases involving the sale of fake tickets for the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku route, APA-Economics reports, citing ADY.
The company said that in recent days it has received complaints from citizens regarding the sale of fake tickets for the route. Some tourism companies and social media accounts are providing passengers with fake tickets for seats that do not exist.
Law enforcement agencies are being contacted over the issue, and investigations are underway. Measures are being taken to identify those involved in the fraud, as well as the relevant social media pages, and hold them accountable in accordance with the law.
ADY stressed that it does not cooperate with any tourism company or intermediary on the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku route and does not allocate ticket quotas to them.
Passengers are advised to purchase tickets only through ADY’s official website, the ADY Mobile application, and railway ticket offices.
