The "VAT Refund" mechanism will cover all types of concerts in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
This is reflected in a proposed amendment to the Tax Code.
According to the draft, it is proposed to ensure that the "VAT Refund" mechanism covers all types of concerts.
It was noted that limiting the application of the "VAT Refund" mechanism to symphony orchestra concerts reduces incentives for other types of music and concerts and creates inequality in the arts sector. Extending the mechanism to all types of concerts will stimulate the development of arts and cultural events, increase access to culture for a wider audience, and ensure the fair and uniform application of tax incentives.
This approach will both strengthen incentives in the cultural sector and ensure transparency.
