Armenia and Türkiye have begun formalizing direct bilateral trade, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced this in parliament, APA reports.
He noted that previously, sales were technically registered at customs as transactions involving third countries, while goods continued to be physically transported between Armenia and Türkiye via other routes, mainly through Georgia.
"As for the border issue, as I have repeatedly stated before, the process has matured to such an extent that we can proceed with opening the border and establishing diplomatic relations at any time," Mirzoyan emphasized.
