In Armenia’s 2026 draft state budget, no funds are allocated for the repair of the railway line from the village of Yeraskh (Arazdeyen) to the border with Nakhchivan, the country’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, David Khudatyan, said during a meeting of parliamentary committees while presenting the budget proposals of the agency he heads, APA reports, citing the Armenian media.
Answering MPs’ questions, the minister noted that no financing is planned for the preparation of railway infrastructure to potentially open transportation routes in the region.
According to him, matters related to coordinating cooperation with the United States on infrastructure management in the Meghri region are handled by the office of Deputy Prime Minister Mger Grigoryan.
